Hyderabad: The Minister for Labor, Mr Danam Nagender, today made it clear that administration was not paralyzed as reported in the media and the funds release, welfare schemes and developmental projects were going on as usual.
Speaking to the media in the Secretariat, Mr Nagender said the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has been reviewing the implementation of welfare schemes and development projects regularly. Funds release to the districts and departments was also going on
without any hurdle. The administration system did not break down and it was functioning effectively, he asserted.
When pointed out that the District Collectors conference proposed to be held on
July 14 and 15 was postponed due to the resignations of the ministers and recent political developments, Mr Nagender felt that the District Collectors conference would be held as per the convenience of the government whether it may be once three months or six months.
Asked about non-convention of cabinet meeting in the last 40 days, Mr Nagender claimed that the Chief Minister was busy with frequent tours to the districts. The cabinet meeting would be held whenever the Chief Minister was free. In fact, the ministers were regularly meeting the Chief Minister and discussing various issues. They may be considered as unofficial cabinet meetings, he opined.
