Hyderabad: The Amalapuram Congress MP, Mr Harsha Kumar, here on Thursday opined that separate Telangana State cannot be achieved by resorting to strikes and agitations and appealed to the Telangana employees’ unions to drop their decision to go on indefinite strike from August.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Harsha Kumar said strikes and agitations would not be useful except causing hardship to the people. He advised the Telangana leaders to strive for achieving consensus by holding talks with all concerned for achievement of separate State demand.
The Amalapuram MP called on the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, in the camp office this morning and discussed with him about various issues. The MP also disclosed that the Chief Minister had informed him that the Union government had sanctioned Rs 50 crores for the Kotipally-Narsapur Railway line.
