Hyderabad: Prominent Telugu film actor Suman has extended his support to the demand for separate Telangana State. The actor participated in the “Patnam Roadlapai Poyyi karyakramam” (cooking on city roads) programme organised by Telangana Political JAC at Hitec City here Sunday.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Suman said that he has chosen to participate in the programme for separate Telangana State as he was pained at gross injustice was being meted out to Telangana region. Though he has no connection with any political party, he said that he felt that Telangana issue was very important.
Recalling his visit to Mahbubnagar district in 1990 in connection with a film shooting, Mr Suman bemoaned that the conditions prevailing in the most backward district remained unchanged till today. He appealed to the students not to commit suicides but fight for achievement of separate State vigorously.
Mr Suman had lunch on the road along with the TRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA, Mr T Harish Rao, the Medak MP, Ms Vijayashanti, the Jubilee Hills Congress MLA, Mr P Vishnuvardhan Reddy and others.
