T Advocates Demand Withdrawal Of False Cases

Hyderabad, Feb.9 (NSS): Telangana Advocates have put the police on tenterhook by holding a flash dharna in front of the Secretariat demanding withdrawal of false cases filed against them.

The police had tough time to control the agitating Telangana advocates. Reacting sharply to it, the SPF men, who providing security coverage to the Secretariat, prevented them from their attempt to barge into the Secretariat.

They raised slogans demanding withdrawal of the false cases and stoppage of arrests of their colleagues.

The police convinced the agitating Advocates to send a delegation to present a memorandum to the Home Minister, Mrs P Sabitha Indra Reddy.With this, the Advocates relented and pacified themselves

Reacting on the agitation of Telangana Advocates, the Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Dr P Shanker Rao announced his support to the agitation of Advocates. The over action of the police was bringing bad name to the State Government, he regretted. He assured that he would talk to the Chief Minister on the matter of withdrawal of false cases filed against the Advocates. (NSS)
