Hyderabad: The State Committee of Telangana Communist Party has hailed the decision of the MCPI (U) State Committee member, Mr Kantham Madhava Reddy, and executive committee members of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts to quit the MCPI (U) following its opposition to separate Telangana State and join the Telangana Communist party to spearhead the movement for the Telangana State.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, the former MLA, Mr Desini Chinna Mallaiah, called upon the Communist party cadre in the region to recognize the need to take forward the struggle for the separate Telangana State. He also noted that the Telangana State was the place in the entire country where the party can capture power. Lashing out at the Communist party leaders from the Seemandhra region, he alleged that they were colluding with the selfish elite in the region and thus leaving a blot on the basic Communist principles. He also noted that those who do not fight against the oppression of common people and various social maladies were not the real Communists at all.

Other Communist leaders, Mr Sri Hari, Mr S Venkata Swamy, Mr Kantham Madhava Reddy, Mr Mallesh Goud, Mr Narsimha, Mr Vital, Mr Papaiah, Ms Rudrama Devi and Ms Pavani, were also present. (NSS)
