Hyderabad: The TDP has condemned the prorogation of the Assembly without taking a decision on its no-confidence motion against the government.
Stating that both the no-confidence notices given by the party were in order, the party senior leaders, Mr Yanamala Rama Krishnudu, Mr Bojjala Rama Krishna Reddy and Mr Mallela Linga Reddy, have demanded an explanation from the Speaker and the Governor on the decision to prorogue the House.
They also reminded that the party had also written to the Governor not to prorogue the House as a no-confidence motion was pending before it.
They said that the Speaker has ignored their notices and sent the file for prorogation to the Governor from his office. They said that never was a no-confidence notice was rejected in the history of the Assembly or the Parliament and never was a house prorogued while a no-confidence motion was pending before it.
The TDP leaders have alleged that there was a conspiracy to block the no-confidence motion and said that the Speaker and the Governor were partners of that conspiracy.
They also said that the Speaker has started his career with a lie, stating that the no-confidence notice had not come to his notice. They also alleged that the Governor who was “running the government, also started running the Assembly.”
