Hyderabad: The suspended TDP leader, Dr Nagam Janardana Reddy, has said that the TDP was finished in the Telangana region.

Talking to the media here on Thursday, Dr Nagam said the party chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, was blackmailing him by appointing MLAs, who said “Jai Telangana” as in-charges of constituencies. Stating that the TDP was finished in the Telangana region, he said that Mr. Naidu, who was for United AP should stop his dramas at least now.

Dr Nagam also questioned that when MLAs were not in a position to go to the villages and face people, what would the in-charges do. He questioned Mr Naidu as to why he was not taking action against the party leaders, who were stating that they would keep the flag and party agenda aside and fight for Telangana State. He said that all Mr Chandrababu Naidu’s strategies, including suspending party leaders and appointing new in-charges had failed. He demanded an apology from Mr Naidu to the people of the Telangana region, for paying tributes to Prof. Jayashankar as he had not made any mention of Telangana in his letter to the Union Home Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram. Alleging that there was a match-fixing between the Congress and the TDP, he said there would be Jai Andhra movement if clause 14-F was removed.
