Hyderabad: The TDP MLAs met the Chief Minister Mr N Kiram Kumar Reddy today and demanded that the paddy stocks lying with the farmers be procured within a week.
Warning the government that they will confront the State Ministers if they failed to procure the crop within a week, the TDP MLAs have explained to the Chief Minister about the stocks of paddy remaining with the farmers’ district wise.
They alleged that the government has procured only 11 lakh tons out of 140 lakh tons including Kharif and Rabi seasons. They alleged that the government was silent on the middle-men who were deceiving the farmers as they wish.
TDP senior MLAs Mr Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao later spoke to the media.
