Hyderabad: Senior Telugu Desam Party leader K Kala Venkat Rao on Saturday alleged that the in spite of crop holiday being declared in Andhra region, the state government has failed to take any relief measures.
Speaking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan on Saturday, Mr Venkat Rao said that the situation has come to a stage where the farmers are compelled to committing suicides and the government is not taking any action.
He said that the situation has become so worst for the first time in the state and it is the duty of the government to come to the rescue of the farmers.
The senior TDP leader threatened to launch an agitation for the cause of farmers if the government did not take any action immediately.(INN)
