Teaching instructors’ age limit relaxed

Hyderabad: The state government has issued orders relaxing the age limit up to 45 years as on July 1, 2010 in respect of the erstwhile non formal education instructors.

The relaxation would enable the education instructors to be appointed as cluster resource persons to assist the school head masters to monitor the activities of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in the state.
Giving this information to media persons at the Secretariat, MLC G Srinivasulu Naidu said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had agreed to relax the cited age limit keeping in view the attempt to increase the literacy rate.

The petition was submitted to the project director, Rajiv Vidya Mission under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan who has favoured appointment of non formal education instructors as cluster resource persons with B Ed, D Ed qualifications after the counselling was held at the district level without a formal test.

Mr Naidu thanked the Chief Minister for his orders.(INN)
