Hyderabad: The Congress MLAs from Telangana region on Monday decided to boycott the remaining days of the Budget Session of the Assembly for the cause of Telangana statehood.
Announcing this at the media point on the premises of the Assembly, the Congress MLA from Suryapet, Mr Ramreddy Damodar Reddy, said that their decision to boycott the Assembly session was their first action as a part of non-cooperation movement. He pointed out that it was mandatory that required number of members should be present in the House for passage of Bills, including Appropriation Bill.
The Congress MLA, Mr Gandra Venkataramana Reddy, said that as the people and students took to the road for formation of separate Telangana State, they have decided to work with the people of the region, he added. (NSS)
