Hyderabad: Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee Chairman K Swamy Goud on Friday stated that the employees are ready to participate in the Telangana agitation as per the call given by Telangana Political Joint Action Committee from September 6.
Talking to media persons after the Steering Committee meeting of employees representatives who come from various districts in the region, at TNGO Bhavan, Nampally, Swamy Goud said the meeting took unanimous decision on employees, extending total support to the Telangana agitation as per the call given by Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram.
He appealed to political parties, cutting across party lines, to participate in the general strike to be held on August 17.
When asked about employees’ readiness to go to talks with state government, he said the employees union would consider about participating in the talks if the government withdraw paramilitary forces from government offices and revokes ESMA.
He thanked the President and Prime Minister for repealing controversial clause 14F from the Presidential orders.
He demanded the government to postpone the Sub-Inspector recruitment examination as the study of the candidates was affected due to agitations and bandh in the region.(INN)
