Hyderabad: The Rayalaseema senior Congress leader and Anantapur MLA, Mr J C Diwakar Reddy, on Friday said that the entire controversy over separate Telangana issue was centered round the Hyderabad City.
Speaking to mediapersons at Congress Legislature Party office here, Mr Diwakar Reddy felt that the Centre-sponsored Justice B N Srikrishna Committee had failed to elicit opinions of the people in a proper manner. He also felt that the Committee members had miserably failed to seek opinion of the citizens of Hyderabad properly whether the State capital should be retained with Telangana nor not. Therefore, the entire problem hinged to the Hyderabad city, he added.
The former minister has opined that the Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad should be taken into confidence on the protection of their properties in Hyderabad. He also claimed that the slogans of the TRS supremo and Mahbubnagar MP, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao, crated a fear psychosis in the Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra regions. Stressing the need to create confidence among the people of other regions about protection of their properties in Hyderabad, he appealed to the Telangana leaders not to create differences among the people.
