New Delhi, Feb 22: The CPI leader, Mr D. Raja, has said that Telangana was not the personal property of the TRS leader, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao.
Talking to the media here, the CPI leader said that every party had its own stand on the Telangana issue and there was no need for the CPI to support Mr KCR’s resolution on Telangana. He said that his party would support the resolution if it came from the Union government and that was the stand that was taken by the CPI, he added. Stating that the CPI was committed to the formation of Telangana, he said every party should honor the sentiments and aspirations of the people of the region.
BJP TO SUPPORT KCR RESOLUTION
The BJP, however, said that it would extend support to the resolution on Telangana tabled by Mr KCR in Parliament. This was stated by Mr Prakash Javadekar, party spokesperson. He has alleged that the Congress party was cheating the people of Telangana by not coming forward with a resolution on Telangana. Welcoming the agitation of the people of Telangana for separate State, he said that apart from supporting Mr KCR’s resolution, his party would also introduce a resolution in Parliament, he added.
