Hyderabad: State Congress affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday said finding a solution to the contentious issue of Telangana was not an easy task.
Replying to queries from reporters after he called on Prajarajyam president K Chiranjeevi at his residence, Azad said the sentiments of people from both Telangana and Seemandhra needed to be taken before taking a call on the issue.
“Telangana is not possible without national consensus since the issue is not limited to the state alone. It will have a national impact. We need to consult all political parties on this,” he said.
In reply to another query, Azad said Chiranjeevi was free to take a call on when to come to the Centre. “He is one of our top Congress leaders in the state. There is no difference between PRP and Congress. They are one amongst us. He is welcome to take active part in the Centre. It is for the Prime Minister to decide on that,” he said. Deputy CM Damodar Raja Narasimha, minister Danam Nagendar, and former PCC president D Srinivas were present during the interaction with Chiranjeevi. TOI
