Hyderabad: Questioning as to how Mr Veerappa Maoily, being a Union Law Minister, said that the Centre will not propose the Telangana bill in the ongoing Parliament session, the Telangana Congress MLAs and MLCs have demanded him to resign to his post immediately. They made it clear that they will start the movement directly as the Telangana MPs were doing. They said that the party will pay heavy price in the Telangana region, because of the attitude of the Party State affairs in charge Mr Veerappa Moily.

Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Thursday after their meeting in the Assembly Committee Hall, they said that it was not proper for the Ministers’ from Telangana region to remain silent, just addressing a letter to the AICC president Ms Sonia Gandhi. Advising the Ministers from Telangana region to involve actively in the movement, they said that they have to request Ms Sonia Gandhi for an appointment. They made it clear that they will organize a ‘Dharna’ if the Centre failed to remove him from the Union Law Minister post.

Congratulating the Telangana MPs for protesting against the Centre’s attitude in the Parliament, they said that the MPs were sincerely working to achieve separate State. They said that they will discuss the issue with the Telangana MLAs and MLCs, who were not able to attend the meeting on the movement.

MLCs Mr KR Amos, Mr K Yadava Reddy and Station Ghanpur MLA Dr T Rajaiah spoke. (NSS)
