Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress ministers have resented the remarks of party MP, Mr Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, and demanded that he withdraw them immediately.
Speaking; to mediapersons, the BC Welfare Minister, Mr Baswaraju Saraiah, has warned Mr Sambasiva Rao that he would face serious consequences if he did not withdraw his remarks. He also demanded an apology from the Eluru MP to the people of Telangana. He asserted that none of the ministers from Telangana want anything other than Telangana and minister posts were of no consequence to them.
Another minister, Mr Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, has alleged that Mr Sambasiva Rao was provoking the people of Telangana with his remarks. Describing Mr Sambasiva Rao as a “plunderer”, he said that they were not only ready to resign from their posts, but could do anything to achieve Telangana. He also denied that lawyers have attacked the residence of Mr Sambasiva Rao. They went there only to submit a memorandum to him, he maintained.
Terming another MP, Mr Rayapati Sambasiva Rao also as corrupt to the core along wth Mr Kavuri, Mr Komatireddy said this was the reason why the duo could not become ministers despite being elected to the Lok Sabha for five times. Mr Komatireddy said that all the Telangana ministers were hailing Mr Jupalli Krishna Rao for deciding to quit the cabinet. (NSS)
