Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party leader Gone Prakash Rao on Sunday slammed Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for arousing the passions of the Telangana people despite being aware that a separate state will only be created around the year 2014.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the senior leader and strong YS Jaganmohan Reddy loyalists advised the TRS chief and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee convenor M Kodandaram to stop making provocative statements and creating law and order situation.
He alleged that both KCR and Prof Kodandaram are deliberately provoking the people and playing with their lives knowing very well that the materialisation of Telangana state not possible till 2014.
“It is not good for responsible elected representatives to provoke the people knowing well that bifurcation of state is not possible until 2014,” Mr Prakash Rao said.
“Why is KCR making provocative speeches and creating a law and order situation in the state despite him being aware that the Centre will only carve out Telangana state around the time of the 2014 general elections? Why is he playing with the lives of the people by arousing their passions with provocative speeches,” he questioned.
Answering his own question, the YSR Congress Party leader said that, “KCR and Kodandaram are deliberately making inflammatory statements and are responsible for serious law and order situation as they are getting desperate over the Centre’s dragging the Telangana state issue.”
Besides this, Mr Prakash Rao also demanded that KCR and Prof Kodandaram make their strategy clear in the event the Centre takes a decision which is unfavourable to them. (INN)
