Hyderabad, Feb.17 (NSS):Telangana Settlers Forum on Thursday condemned the attack on Lok Satta MLA Mr Jayaprakash Narain and Congress leader Mr Paladugu Venkat Rao in the Legislature premises.

In a statement, Forum Convenor Mrs Katragadda Prasuna, former MLA, said that the attack was undemocratic, inhuman and uncivilized; and it reflected the law and order situation prevailing the State. She said all those who believe in democracy should hang their heads in shame over the attack. She said that Mr JP was not a Seemandhra person, but he represents a Telangana constituency in the Assembly. If this was the situation in regard to an MLA, what would be fate of people in the Capital, she questioned.

She said that the settlers were not again separate Telanganas state, and added that if such attacks continued and if the settlers were subjected to mental agony, they would organize fast in a Gandhian way in front of the TRS chief Mr KCR’s residence. She wanted the Government to take effective steps to maintain law and order in the State. (NSS)
