Karimnagar: Expressing his immense regrets at the suicide of one Yadireddy of Moinabad of Rangareddy district near India Gate in New Delhi for the cause of Telangana state, Congress MP from Karimnagar Ponnam Prabhakhar on Wednesday called upon the students community not to resort to suicides for the separate state formation.
Addressing a hunger fast camp of Congress leaders, the MP said the students should not resort to such extreme steps and termed Yadireddy’s suicide as `unfortunate.’
Stating that the Centre should open its eyes, Mr Prabhakar said that, “at least now the government should understand the ground situation in the Telangana and announce the separate state respecting the sentiments of the people.”
Asserting that the Telangana leaders would sacrifice anything for the cause of separate state, he called upon all to form suicide squads.
Incidentally, Mr Prabhakar’s words were an echo of the comments by TDP leader Payyavula Kesav, who had exhorted Seemandhra leaders to form suicide squads and attack anyone supporting any decision on bifurcation during a meeting at Guntur earlier in the day.
The MP added, “Telangana leaders will not lag behind in attacking Seemandhra leaders who are obstructing the separate state formation.”
“As the Seemandhra leaders are not relenting and agreeing for the separate Telangana state, the separate state dream can only be achieved through physical attacks,” Mr Prabhakar said.(INN)
