Hyderabad: The TRS leader, Mr K T Rama Rao, has alleged that the Telangana Telugu Desam party leaders were ‘barking like rabies-infected dogs’.
Talking to the media here on Thursday, Mr Rama Rao said that the TDP leaders have used obscene language in the ‘Telangana Rana Bheri’ and added that the meeting was used to criticize the TRS and its leader, Mr K. Chandrasekhara Rao. He described the Karimnagar ‘Telangana Ranabheri’ as the ‘TDP Circus.’
Alleging that the Telangana leaders of the TDP had used the meeting only to incite people against the TRS, he said while one leader provoked the people by showing a rifle, another brought goons on 50 motorbikes from Hyderabad and provoked the people.
Mr Rama Rao has said that the Telangana leaders of TDP should make Mr Chandrababu Naidu pass a resolution on Telangana in the party’s Mahanadu, if they had any guts. Stating that leaders of some parties were stating that they were willing to quit their posts with some conditions, Mr KTR asked how they could impose any conditions, if they were really committed to Telangana. He has claimed that he and his party colleagues had quit their positions unconditionally. He felt that even the cadre of the TDP in Telangana were not trusting the party leadership and cited the recent by-elections as an example to his observation and reminded that the TDP candidates had not even retained their deposits.
Mr Rama Rao described Mr Chandrababu Naidu as ‘Andhra Babu.’ He said that no one in Telangana would believe the TDP leaders if they carried the ‘effigy’ of Mr. Naidu. They should decide if they want Telangana or Mr Naidu, he added. Mr KTR said that Mr Naidu was an hindrance to Telangana. He claimed that even the TDP leaders themselves were stating that it was Mr Naidu who had obstructed Telangana.
When asked about the possibility of taking Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy into the TRS, Mr KTR said his party would invite any one committed to Telangana, including Dr Nagam. (NSS)
