Hyderabad: The TDP leaders of Telangana region have decided to hold relay hunger strikes from August 5, to intensify the party’s agitation for separate Telangana State.
This was decided in an extended meeting of the Telangana Forum of the TDP held in the NTR Trust Bhavan. Daily ten leaders would sit in the fast.
The Telangana leaders are chalking out programmes for the party representatives to go to New Delhi and press for the Telangana Bill. The TDP would undertake visits to villages to campaign for separate State from July 25 to 31.
The Telangana TTD Forum convener, Mr Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao, has alleged that the TRS and the Telangana Political JAC were purposely excluding the TDP from their agitation programmes. He called upon the party cadres to strongly denounce this attitude of the two organizations. Another senior TDP leader, Mr Motkupalli Narasimhulu, said the Telangana Congress leaders were only after power and not Telangana.
