Telangana TDP forum has decided to sit on a two-day dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi from August 11 in support of their call for the introduction of the Telangana bill in the current monsoon session of Parliament.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday, forum convenor E Dayakar Rao said they have decided to build pressure on the Centre to elicit positive outcome.
Taking serious objection to the tirade launched against the TDP by the TRS, he took a dig at TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s statement that they would intensify the struggle till 2014 if need be.
“Everyone here is working on ways to build immediate pressure on the Centre and elicit a positive solution within the next two months, while here is one person who wants us to think of 2014,” he said. Stating that Telangana state would be a reality only if T Congress MLAs resign, Rao reiterated that all TDP MLAs from the region were ready to resign yet again to realize the dream of Telangana state.
