Hyderabad: Welcoming the TDP’s decision on tabling no-trust motion against the State government on the farmers’ problems, the Transport Minister, Mr Botcha Sathyanrayana, has said that a thorough debate was needed on the issue. He said that the Congress government would not fall with the TDP’s no-confidence motion.
Speaking to the media on the Assembly premises on Thursday, Mr Botcha reiterated that the government was ready to face the TDP’s no-trust motion. He also made it clear that the government would run the monsoon session 100 percent. He also said that there was no objection to run the emergency session to elect Speaker.
Stating that there was no link between Telangana issue and election of Speaker and TDP’s no-trust motion against the government, Mr Botcha said that the delay in creation of Telangana State was only because of TDP’s U-turn after the Centre’s December 9, 2009 announcement. He alleged that TDP Chief, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, changed his stand on Telangana issue and not Congress Party. He said that the TDP’s stand on Telangana issue was like a cat on the wall.
