Hyderabad: Interestingly, the TJAC at its meeting vehemently demanded that the Telangana Congress leaders should submit their resignations as declared by them earlier and that if they did not comply with this they would not be allowed to move in their constituencies. The meeting also reiterated that except a separate State no other package would be acceptable to the people of the region. It was also decided to conduct “Vanta Varpu” programme in all the districts in the region barring Hyderabad on July 10.
Soon after the meeting, Prof. Kodandaram and other TJAC leaders proceeded to Exhibition Grounds where the Telangana Congress leaders were holding their meeting. However, they had to face humiliation as the Congress leaders felt there was no need for him to be present at their meeting. Thereupon, the Rajya Sabha member, Dr K. Keshav Rao, came out of the meeting and met the TJAC leaders and informed them that he would call on them later after arriving at a consensus over the question of resignations.
The Chief Minister, the Deputy Chef Minister and the APCC president, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana met Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad and Mr Oscar Fernandez at Gandhi Bhavan. The Seemandhra leaders, including ministers from the region are also planning to call on both the AICC leaders and impress upon them the need for maintaining status quo in the State.
