Hyderabad: The Telangana NGOs unions’ federation president, Mr Swamy Goud, and the former minister, Mr Jupalli Krishna Rao, on Saturday faulted the statement of the former chief minister, Mr K Rosaiah, appealing to the Telangana leaders to suspend the agitation in view of the hospitalization of the Congress president, Ms Sonia Gandhi, in America.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Mr Swamy Goud said when the agitation went on without any interruption even when the Telangana ideologue Prof. Jaya Shanker passed away, there was no need to suspend the agitation due to the ill-health of Ms Sonia Gandhi. Mr Goud dismissed Mr Rosaiah’s appeal as part of the Seemandhra leaders conspiracy to suppress the agitation of the four crore people of the region.
Mr Swamy Goud also declared that the PCC president, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, and the former chief minister, Mr Rosaiah, were antagonists of Telangana. Stating that the people of the Telangana region too wished Ms Gandhi’s speedy recovery, the TNGOs leader demanded that the Congress Core Committee take a favourable decision on Telangana issue immediately, otherwise, the agitation would be intensified from Monday.
Mr Swamy Goud reiterated his appeal to the Telangana elected representatives to submit their resignations afresh to press the Centre to declare separate Telangana State immediately.
