Hyderabad: The Telugu Naadu Students Federation has condemned the decision of the government to close down welfare hostels with less than 100 strength. In a statement at Hyderabad today TNSF state secretary K. Ravi Kumar has warned that they would launch a state-wide agitation if the decision was not withdrawn forthwith. He has alleged that while the Chief Minister Mr. N. Kirankumar Reddy was stating again and again that the government was strengthening the education system, his acts were to the contrary.
He said the state government was diluting the education system through measures like closure of hostels, reduction of IIIT seats, imposing restrictions on fee reimbursement and not holding DSC exams on schedule. He has warned that the Chief Minister would meet with the wrath of the students if he continued to tack decisions scuttling their facilities.
