Hyderabad police commissioner AK Khan on Friday warned students, especially those who are pursuing professional courses, that a history-sheet will be opened against those who indulge in ragging.
At a press conference here on Friday, Khan said that with the academic year commencing, a history-sheet will be opened against students found guilty of ragging. “The concerned student will be rusticated from the college and he will not be able to get a passport and driving licence issued in his name”, the commissioner said.
He referred to Supreme Court directions in cracking down the acts of ragging. A student, who is convicted for indulging in ragging, will be eligible for punishment ranging from six months to 10 years.TOI
