Hyderabad: Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Kodandaram on Monday stated that JAC executive meeting will be held on July 2 to discuss how to push the elected representatives from Telangana to resign.
Talking to media persons after participating in a memorial programme for Telangana ideologue K Jayashankar at Osmania University Library hall, Prof Kodandaram stated that the deadline set for Telangana elected representatives to resign had ended on June 25.
He said the Telangana Congress members have not announced any decision despite visiting New Delhi and meeting the Congress Core Committee members. Prof Kodandaram added that the TPJAC Executive Committee will discuss ways and means to intensify the agitation for statehood.
“Our main agenda in the meeting is how to achieve Telangana state. No other issues will be discussed,” he stated.
The TPJAC convenor also took a serious note on the state government conducting the recruitments for Sub-Inspector posts without deleting the controversial Clause 14 F in the Presidents Order.
He demanded the state and Centre to intervene in the issue and find a solution.
If the government fails to delete Clause 14 F, the employees in the region would launch another Noncooperation agitation soon. Prof Kodandaram also expressed doubts over the intention of the Centre over the deployment of Paramilitary forces in the both Seemandhra and Telangana regions.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA Harish Rao was also present.(INN)
