The TRS on Monday accused the minor irrigation minister, Mr T.G. Venkatesh, and other Seemandhra leaders of whipping up Samaikhya Andhra emotions to protect their own business interests. The TRS deputy floor leader, Mr T. Harish Rao alleged that Mr Venkatesh who lost 3.12 acres in Tondapalli near the Outer Ring Road got an equal area near the Rajiv International Airport at Shamshabad for construction of a hotel during YSR’s reign under a special relaxation.

“The minister himself signed the petition given to the Chief Minister. What was the cost of the land he lost and what is the cost of the new land. Mr Etela Rajender lost 8.13 acres in Medchal, but he did not get an inch of land. For that matter no Telangana person got such concession,” Mr Harish Rao said. He said several poor of Telangana region who lost lands in Outer Ring Road and projects never got alternate sides. “People of Seemaandhra should understand that their leaders are only protecting their own business interests,” he said.
