Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which is spearheading the agitation for creation of separate Telangana State, has decided to boycott the Legislative Assembly session from tomorrow. The TRS has eleven members in the State Assembly.
A decision to this affect was taken at the TRS executive meeting held here today.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, TRS legislature party leader Mr Etela Rajender and senior leader Mr Nayani Narasimha Reddy said that they have taken the decision as they were of the view that justice would not be done to the region in the Assembly.
They said that it was also decided to go ahead with the Millionium march programme on March 10, demanding introduction of the Telangana Bill in the Parliament. They said that no permission was needed from the Government for organising the programme. It was also decided that all the TRS legislators should go to their respective constituencies and work for the Millinium march programme, they said.
Mr Rajender said that they would obstruct the Assembly sittings from tomorrow, and they would not allow the sittings in united State.
He alleged that the TDP president Mr N Chandrababu Naidu and former Minister Mr J C Diwakar Reddy have joined together and trying to stall the creation of Telangana state.(NSS)
