TSP asks UPA to table Telangana Bill

Hyderabad: Telangana Swarajya Parishath convener Mr. M A Mujeeb demanded that the UPA Government table Telangana Bill in the ongoing session of the Paliament to fulfil the demand of the people of Telangana for self rule.

Speaking after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day at TSP’s office at Neredment here on Monday, Mr. Mujeeb, who is also the President of Mohammedan Parishath – AP Committee, said that the centre could avoid further suicides and turmoil in the region by giving statehood to Telangana. He thanked the BJP for its support for the Telangana Bill.

Mujeeb said even after six decades of independence, underprivileged sections are yet to get complete freedom. They crave for the educational, social, economic and political justice. He said TSP is for the political reservation of 50 % reservation to BCs, 30% dalits 10 % to Muslims 10 % to Christians in the legislature. The posts of party president, CMs and even the Prime Minister should be on rotation between BCs, Dalits, EBCs and Minorities.

Mr. Mujeeb also spoke at length about the condition of farmers in the country demanding that the government implement the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission in letter and spirit. Regarding corruption, he said the Prime Minister should be brought underthe purview of the proposed Lokpal Bill and Lok Ayuktha’s should be set at all state heaquarters.

TSP Joint Convener Bheemaiah while addressing gathering said the fight for Telangana was originally started by its Convener MA Mujeeb and Vice Chairman Ch Yadagiri in early 2001 which was hijacked by KCR. (INN)
