Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam party legislators of Telangana region on Thursday turned down the request of the Telangana Political JAC chairman, Prof. Kodandaram, to postpone their “Telangana Bus Yatra”.

It may be mentioned here that the TDP MLAs of the region had planned to visit all the 10 Telangana districts from July 7 in order to explain to the people about the inevitability of separate State.

A few hours before launching the Bus Yatra from Medchal in Ranga Reddy district on Thursday, a delegation of TTDP leaders comprising Mr Errabelli Dayakara Rao, Mr Revanth Reddy, Mr Mothkupally Narasimhulu and others called on Prof. Kodandaram and sought support of the TJAC for the Bus Yatra.

It is learnt that Prof. Kodandaram had suggested to the TTDP leaders to postpone their Telangana Bus Yatra for sometime as he was convening a meeting of all the resigned legislators of all parties for chalking out a joint action plan. But the TTDP leaders have reportedly expressed their inability to put off the Bus Yatra as it was scheduled to begin from Thursday afternoon.

When Mr Errabelli requested the TJAC chairman to at least proclaim solidarity with their proposed Bus Yatra, the latter told them that he would take a decision after discussing it in the JAC. With this, the Telangana TDP leaders could not wrest an assurance from the TJAC convenor on the bus yatra.
