Hyderabad: Intending to take the doctrines of Dr B R Ambedkar into the common people and usher in era of “social justice”, the ideal which the architect of our Constitution cherished most, the Telangana United Front will be organizing a slew of agitations in all district centers in the State on April 14, on the eve of the 120th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, the chairman of TUF, Prof. Keshavrao Jadav said that Dr Ambedkar favoured smaller states. “It was the opinion of Dr Ambedkar that there would be enough scope for development in smaller states and they enable the people of the region to make optimal utilization of natural resources, thereby ensuring that there would not be any deprivation for the local people of natural resources in their native areas. He also felt that there might be scope for dominance of one region over another one in a larger state.

Prof. Jadav also said that the slew of agitations were also aimed at pressurizing the Centre to introduce the Telangana Bill in the Parliament.

Vice-chairman, Mr T Hanumandlu, co-chairman, Ms Vimalakka, spokesperson, Mr Cherukuri Sheshagiri Rao and a member on the State Committee, Ms Sohara Begum, were also present. (NSS)
