Hyderabad, Feb., 16(NSS): Expressing concern over the Congress-led UPA government being immersed in corruption and multi-crore scams coming to light day after day, the BJP national vice-president and incharge of AP affairs, Mr Purushotham Rupala, MP, has said that tainted money was not recovered so far.

Addressing a media conference in the State party office here on Wednesday, Mr Purushotham Rupala said that ISRO scam came to light even as they were demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the gigantic 2-G Spectrum scandal. Recalling that the party leaders had dissuaded the newly-elected BJP president, Mr Nitin Gadkari, not to criticize the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, Mr Purushotham said that the people of the entire nation have understood the real nature and individuality of the Prime Minister now after a series of scandals coming to light. He pointed out that the government has miserably failed to recover any money from the delinquents even after many a scam came to light.

Though the Congress high command changed the chief minister for the notorious Adarsh scam, the government did not bother to recover the money so far, he said, adding that earlier Mr A R Antulay was also changed following his involvement in scams, but now he was continuing in the Union Cabinet as an “honorable minister”.

Referring to the State affairs, the BJP leader said that it has become a game for the Congress high command to change the chief ministers at will. He said that they have organised the February 17 “Maha Rally” and public meeting in the Nizam College grounds with an intention to expose the misdeeds and corrupt activities of the Congress governments at the Centre and the State.

The State BJP president, Mr G Kishen Reddy, the national party secretary, Dr K Lakshman, the senior leaders, Mr Bandaru Dattatreya, Mr Indrasena Reddy, Mr S Malla Reddy and Mr N Ramchander Rao were present. (NSS)
