Hyderabad: The senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member, Mr V Hanumantha Rao, has announced that he would undertake tour of districts to study functioning of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and find out whether they served the purpose or not. He said that he would visit Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts from May 30 to June 3 in first phase.
Finding fault with the YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, for taking up different ‘Deekshas’, he asked the former to respond on SEZ lands instead of taking up different ‘Deekshas’. He said that he was going to the people to force the government to initiate action against Mr Jagan. He also demanded that the State government release a white paper on the status of SEZs and Mining allocation in the State.
Speaking to the media at his residence here on Thursday, Mr Rao said that the people of Kadapa should know that 10,000 acres land was taken over in the name of Brahmani Steels. He also asked the people whether they know about the iron ore allotment for Brahmani Steels Company. He said that the Karnataka BJP leader, Mr Gali Janardhana Reddy earned thousands of crores of rupees by selling iron ore instead of establishing Brahmani Steels Company. He also said that Mr Jagan’s brother-in-law, Bro. Anil Kumar, who conducts devotional activities, too participated in the illegal mining of Bayyaram Mines.
Stating that a day would come even in the case of Mr Jagan like A Raja, Kanimozi and Mr Suresh Kalmadi, Mr VH said that Mr Jagan owes an answer to the allegations against him before shedding crocodile tears regarding illegal earnings. Demanding that the State government give back the lands allotted to the SEZs to the farmers, he said that illegal money was invested in the ‘Sakshi’ newspaper.
Finding fault with the CPM State secretary, Mr B V Raghavulu, for declaring that the CPM was ready to fight against the State along with Mr Jagan, he said that Mr Raghavulu has to know that Mr Jagan was son of Dr YSR, who had allotted the farmers’ lands to the SEZs.
Accusing the BJP senior leader, Mr M Venkaiah Naidu, for maintaining silence in case Mr Jagan, he wondered why Mr Naidu was speaking positively on Kadapa results as he didn’t see the illegal money of Mr Jagan. He said that the time has come to initiate action against Mr Jagan. He said that the senior leader, Mr K R Amos, was preparing an action plan regarding this. He said that he would gather all information about the building constructed by Mr Jagan at Jubilee Hills through the RTI Act. He said that the Mahbubabad MP, Mr Balaram Naik, the Government Chief Whip, Mr Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the AICC secretary and MLC, Mr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, would accompany him during his visit to the district.
