Violence won’t be tolerated, Warns Governor

Hyderabad: The Governor, Mr E S L Narasimhan, here on Saturday called upon the people of the State to extend wholehearted cooperation with the government and help restore peace and normalcy in the agitation-hit State.

Flagging off a peace rally on the Necklace Road here on the occasion of “Hiroshima Day”, the Governor said violence was not the answer anywhere and at any time and warned that those indulging in violence and those who were encouraging it would not be spared and dealt with iron hand. He also called upon every citizen to strive to foster amity among the people. The Governor also released doves in air on the occasion.

The State CPI secretary, Dr K Narayana, and his party workers, activists of several political parties and representatives of several institutions were present.
