Although the government claims to remove irregularities from the minority institutions and to effectively implement government schemes but the same is countered by its recent move by which it has saddled Mr. M A Hameed with two key posts instead of appointing two different persons permanently on the major posts.
After terminating Waqf Board CEO M A Ghaffar from the services, the government has given additional charge to M A Hameed as CEO Waqf board who is already serving as CEO Hajj Committee. With several important matters pending with Waqf Board, namely protection of Waqf properties, computerization of the data, etc., a permanent officer was needed there.
On one side the government has not given any reasons for termination of M A Ghaffar, the board, on the other side, is not ready to relieve him from his services. Government should appoint a permanent officer as CEO Waqf board. Siasat
