Water supply to be affected on July 19, 20: HMWSSB

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board on Thursday said that water supply would be affected in some parts of the city as it repairs leakages on the 1600 MM diameter PSC for 24 hours July 19 to July 20.

The HMWSSB said that it will have to shut down for Ring Main-I of Krishna Phase-II from Sahebnagar to Prashasannagar and Lingampally for 24 hrs on July 19, 2011 instead of July 16, 2011 for attending the leakages on 1600mm dia PSC pipeline and two junctions on the 1400 MM diameter MS pumping main near PVNR Expressway and other leakages.

The supply would be affected from 6 AM on July 19 to 6 AM on July 20.

As a result, there will be no water supply on July 19 and short supplies on July 20 to

Kishan Bagh, part of Bahadurpura, areas under Balapur Reservoir (Jahanuma and Balapur sections), Hafeez Babanagar of Maisaram section and Fab City Airport, RCI, ARC, the entire areas coming under the Rajendranagar division, Prashasanagar, part of Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills.

Likewise, areas which will receive short supply on July 19 are Sanathnagar, SR Nagar, SPR Hills, Kukatpally and Housing Board Areas, Qutbullahpur and Jagadgirigutta,

parts of Alwal Municipal areas, Defence Colony, OU Teachers Colony.

The HMWSSB requested the consumers to store sufficient water and avoid inconvenience.(INN)
