Hyderabad: The TDP senior leader, Mr Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao, has questioned as to why his party could not agitate for Telangana with its flag while the TRS was doing so.
Talking to the media, Mr Dayakara Rao said that he was not divulging several things he knew about the TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhara Rao, as the disclosure would only reflect badly on Telangana. Stating that he had no personal enmity towards Mr KCR, the TDP leader said that he was only talking about his (KCR) follies. He also clarified that he would carry the TDP flag in any agitation he might participate in, for Telangana. He has however said that he was not against the meeting being organized by his colleague Mr Harishwar Reddy in Parigi. Replying to a question, he said that the party would discuss about Mr Hariswara Reddy later.
Mr Dayakara Rao said that he would undertake Padayatras for Telangana in the districts from May 23 and would make efforts to invite Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu for these programmes.
Replying to another question, he said that he was ready to contest on behalf of the JAC in the elections. He has however said that all the leaders should set aside their party flags and contest only on Telangana agenda. He said that he was prepared to keep away from elections till the Telangana State emerged.
Mr Dayakara Rao said it was malicious on the part of some people that the Osmania JAC was opposing the TDP. Stating that Mr Naidu had clarity in his mind on the Telangana issue, he said though he has talked of the two-eyes theory on Telangana, he would abide by only one word on the matter, he said. (NSS)
