Hyderabad: The senior TDP leader, Mr Yerrabelli Dayakar Rao, on Sunday questioned as to why the Telangana Rashtra Samithi president, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao, who was provoking the people of Telangana, keeping silent on the issue in Parliament.
Speaking at his party’s annual conclave Mahanadu at Gandipet, Mr Dayakar Rao lambasted the TRS supremo for failing to accost the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre for its dilatory tactics on separate Telangana issue. Instead of taking the Congress leaders, who were making tall claims that they would alone deliver separate Telangana State again and again, to task, the TRS leader was unnecessarily trying to provoke the people of the region, he bemoaned.
Accusing the estranged party senior leader, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, of deciding to confuse the party and Telangana TDP leaders, Mr Dayakar Rao said that the former himself remained confused and forced the party to take drastic action against him. Asserting that the party president, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, never asked his party leaders from Telangana not to agitate for separate State, Mr Dayakar Rao advised Dr Nagam to keep his mouth shut for his own good. He said the TDP leaders of the region were ever ready to fight for Telangana collectively, but they cannot tolerate if any one dared to belittle the party and its leadership.
