Union minister and state Congress affairs observer Vayilar Ravi has said that the Andhra Pradesh government was stable.
Responding on the exit of some MLAs to join the YSR Congress, he said they could have left for some personal benefit and asserted that the departure of one or two leaders caused no damage to the party and the government. He said only one or two had left.
When asked about the alleged letter of union minister Kishore Chandra Deo to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi in which he has reportedly described Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy as incompetent and the PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana as a mafia don, he said he did not want to comment on it. He said if there was such a letter, the high command would take care of it. He has however said that the union minister had every right to express his opinion to the high command on the state of affairs in Andhra Pradesh. When asked about the possible change of leadership in the state, he said he could not say anything about it. (NSS)
