Hyderabad: The State Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday organised a day-long ”satyagraha” here to protest against the “undemocratic” arrest of Yoga guru Baba Ramdev in the Ramlila grounds in Delhi.

Addressing protestors, the State BJP president, Mr G Kishan Reddy, said that his party would extend support to all those who are fighting against corruption in the UPA government. He said that the AICC general secretary, Mr Digvijay Singh’s caustic comments on the Yoga guru calling him a cheat was uncalled for and Mr Singh should be arrested forthwith for it.

Mr Kishan Reddy said that the BJP would continue its agitation against corruption of the UPA government by creating awareness among the people. He also called upon the party activists to take the message to village level and expose the “misdeeds” of the Congress-led UPA government.

The senior BJP leader and former Union minister, Mr Bandaru Dattatreya, the former Governor, Mr V Rama Rao, the BJP national executive member, Mr N Indrasena Reddy, the Nizamabad Urban MLA, Mr Endla Laxminarayana, the former MLAs, Mr Baddam Balreddy, Mr Ramaswamy and Mr Premsingh Rathod were among some 20 leaders who participated.
