Cong: Advani is suffering from amnesia

Hitting out at senior BJP leader L.K. Advani for his tirade against the ruling party by describing it to be a “fiefdom” of a single family, Congress on Monday said, the saffron leader has been suffering from “selective amnesia”. The party also accused that his latest view reflects “his frustration” as he failed to fulfil his “desires”.

Asking the BJP veteran to introspect as to why his party “has conceded Opposition’s space to civil society”, AICC spokesperson Manish Tewari said, “Advani is now a days blogging with frequency. His writings reflect his frustration and disappointment borne out of unfulfilled desires. The seriousness, which is expected from a senior politician, is not visible there.”

Mr Tewari said, “If the BJP leader could throw some light on his party’s failure to perform the duties of an Opposition party, he will be able to do some good for his own fold as well as the democracy.” The Congress spokesperson was reacting to Mr Advani’s comments in his blog in which the BJP leader said, “Sadly, the Congress today has become the fiefdom of a single family.
