Looks like it’s now the the turn of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam to file a complaint against Sun TV network.

For, disciples, of Swami Nithyananda, who hit the headlines after Sun group of television channels repeatedly aired clippings that allegedly featured him with an actress, today filed a police complaint against Sun TV managing director Kalanithi Maran and its chief operating officer Hansraj Saxena (who is already in police custody based on a cheating complaint by a film distributor) for telecasting objectionable video images.

The Tamilnadu and Puducherry Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam president Sri Nithya Saravananda who came to file the complaint at the city Commissioner Office said the so-called sex-scandal involving Swami Nithyananda was a creation of surgical precision by the electronic media (Sun TV) which had a hidden agenda to tarnish the image of Nithyananda.

The Sun TV had repeatedly telecasted the same which hurt the religious sentiments of the people, he said. ‘We conduct yoga classes and spiritual discourses in our religious centres across the State. The goons who were reportedly sent by the Sun group started attacking our religious centres across Tamilnadu. Both male and female devotees were also attacked. And the properties belonging to our centres had no escape,’ he said.

On 3 March 2010, the goons attacked our religious centres situated at Salem, Periyapudur, Alagapuram, Sirgazhi, Sattanathapuram, Krishnagiri in front of the Sun TV cameramen. Earlier they attacked at centres at Tiruvannamalai and Rajapalayam too. He said the attack was carried out at the behest of Sun TV.

‘We could not file a complaint in the previous DMK regime because of their influence,’ he added. ‘Hence we came to the city police Commissioner office to file a case against Sun TV managing director Kalanithi Maran and its chief operating officer Hansraj Saxena.

It may be recalled that the Dhyanapeetam’s spokesperson Nithya Sachidananda who dismissed all allegations that time, said that copies of the ‘offending CD’ were handed over to senior police officials and politicians in Karnataka by the Swamiji’s driver Nithya Dharmananda alias Lenin before it was telecast on electronic media in Tamilnadu.
