Youth told to emulate Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad: Several Congress leaders, here on Sunday, called upon the youth to march forward by emulating the AICC general secretary, Mr Rahul Gandhi.

The Deputy Chief Minister, Mr C. Damodar Rajanarasimha, the senior Congress leaders, Mr P. Narsa Reddy, the Labour Minister, Mr Danam Nagender, the Secunderabad MP, Mr Anjan Kumar Yadav, and others spoke while participating in the 42nd birthday celebrations of Mr Rahul Gandhi at Gandhi Bhavan. Mr Rajanarasimha eulogised the selfless services of Mr Rahul Gandhi saying that the future Prime Minister was striving for the uplift of the farmers and downtrodden sections without aspiring for power.

The senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member, Mr V Hanumantha Rao, said that they were fighting against the scandalous land allotments taking Mr Rahul Gandhi’s ideals. He also demanded that the State government initiate steps to take back the lands allotted to software companies.

The APCC Linguistic Minority Cell chairman, Mr Ashok Singh, has congratulate Mr Rahul Gandhi and wished him long and prosperous life. Later, Mr Singh along with other party leaders, distributed saris to poor women of slum areas. The Linguistic Minority Cell leaders, Mr Murali Mohan Singh, Mr P S Ganesh, the Mahila Vibhag president, Ms Ganga Bhavani, Mr T Shailender Singh, Mr Sanjeev, M Somani, Mr Santosh Singh, Mr Dharam Chand Tayal, Mr Vijay Shanker Pandey, Mr Syed Afsar Ali and several others were present.
