Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, has condoled the death of the noted dance maestro Dr Nataraja Rama Krishna.
In a statement here on Tuesday, Mr Naidu stated that the great danseuse had rendered yeomen service to the Indian culture and traditional art forms.
As the Chairman of the State Sangita Nataka Academy and dance guru and researcher for over six decades, he has earned respect of crores of people, Mr Naidu said. The titles he had won including Padma Sri, Kala Sagar and Kala Saraswati and many others reflect the commitment he had for dance and his services to the art, he stated, adding that in his death, the field of fine arts had lost an eminent personality. Mr Naidu has conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.
