Islamabad, Feb 9 (IANS) Pakistani security forces Wednesday claimed to have busted a terrorist training camp in the country’s restive tribal area, arresting a female suicide bomber and five others.
The troops raided a house in Bajaur agency of northern Pakistan and arrested six people, the Online news agency reported.
A jacket believed to have been kept for carrying a suicide attack was also recovered from one of the two women arrested from the scene.
The local administration said the raid was conducted after a tip-off that women are being trained for suicide attacks in the area.
Pakistan’s northern tribal region bordering Afghanistan is believed to have been a stronghold of Al Qaeda and several other terrorist groups.
