Hyderabad: Late NTR’s elder son Mr Harikrishna has refused to address the Mahanadu meeting here on Saturday. He expressed anguish over the way the Mahanadu was going on in presence of TDP Chief Mr N Chandrababu Naidu.
Mr Harikrishna rejected the plea made by the senior leaders Mr K Yerran Naidu and Mr Yanamala Ramakrishnudu to address the meeting. He said that he was not in a position to speak in the meeting and added that he will reveal the reasons later.
It is learnt that Mr Harikrishna was unhappy over the adamant and unilateral attitude of Mr Naidu. Mr Harikrishna was feeling that the party was losing its sheen just because of the unilateral attitude and actions of Mr Naidu. According sources, Mr Harikrishna has said that he was not worried about the heir of the party, but is worried about the party’s position. He said that he advised Mr Naidu to organise the Karimnagar ‘Ranabheri’ much earlier, but Mr Naidu didn’t heed his advice.
Mr Harikrishna refused even to talk to the media, and said that he was not speaking to the media just because the day was NTR’s birth anniversary. He also said that he would reveal the reasons later as to why he was not speaking to the media. Mr Harikrishna, who left the Mahanadu midway on the first day, looked unhappy on the second day.
Interestingly, there was no portrait of Mr Harikrishna on the Mahanadu dais, while Mr Naidu’s son Mr Lokesh’s portrait was there. (NSS)
