Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, today asked the Chief Secretary, Mr S. V. Prasad, to convene a meeting with senior officials on ‘Adhar’ cards issue. He also asked the Chief Secretary to direct the officials to solve the ground level problems to speed up the programme and closely monitor it.
The officials said 1.3 crore individuals were enumerated so far and the data had been sent to the Union government for preparation of cards. By August, the enumeration and data collection would be completed on saturation basis.
A meeting is being arranged in a day or two with the senior officials of Civil Supplies department, Central departments and others concerned as per the Chief Minister’s instructions, the Chief Secretary said.
